As the months continue to pass and spring is right around the corner, it brings a sense of excitement. Warmer weather, sunlight, outdoor activities, and summer plans ahead. With the start of a new year, many of us set goals or resolutions, but as life becomes busy, it is easy to lose track of them. Spring is a natural reminder of renewal and change. It is a good time to pause and check in with yourself. Have you fallen behind on your goals? Have you changed your mind on certain goals? Or have you made progress that you have not taken the time to recognize? It is easy to get caught up in daily routines and responsibilities, but taking a moment to reflect can help you reassess where you are and where you want to go next.
Discussing progress also means acknowledging rest. To prevent burnout, it is essential to regularly check in on how we are balancing our time. Are you managing work or school while still making space for friends and family? Are you giving yourself time to be alone and recharge? Rest is fundamental to our health, yet it can easily get lost in our constant push to be productive. As you reflect this spring, remind yourself to prioritize good sleep and allow yourself to enjoy the simple moments without guilt. Whether it is reading a good book, coloring, listening to music, or taking a short nap, these small acts of rest help restore energy and create balance in our lives.
Spring is a good reminder to check in on our goals, but to also find balance and rest. Not every goal needs to be perfectly on track, and not every day needs to be productive to have meaning. Sometimes progress looks like slowing down, adjusting your plans, and giving yourself the space to start again. Use this season as an opportunity to enjoy the little things and reflect on how far you have come. Reset your priorities and move forward with intention.
