Gardening is not my strong point, but I do love to buy and smell flowers. Flowers come in many shapes, colors, and forms which also includes having many uses. For example, a flower bouquet can add style and color to your empty living room table while also serving as a thoughtful gift for someone. However, have you ever reflected on the numerous things a flower can teach us about ourselves?
3 Ways Flowers Relate To You:
Plants are Limitless. In this life, it is easy to lose focus on ourselves and potential. You’ve probably thought before “I give up” or “what’s the point?” which affects the way we behave and begin to set limits for ourselves. Plants, however, are limitless; they keep growing and growing as much as possible. They never tell themselves “ I’ll stop growing when I reach 1 foot,” but instead try to be limitless. Connecting this to our lives, plants teach us to set our limitations and inhibiting thoughts to the side and begin to thrive.
Look at the Bright Side. When we encounter difficulties throughout our life or have experienced a lot of negativities, we begin to lose hope and positivity. Plants, on the other hand, seek the sun instead of focusing on the weeds to continue growing. Likewise, we should learn to focus on the positive things that will motivate our growth and allow us to flourish. Yes, life can be tough, but you are tougher.
Follow Your Pace. If you have ever encountered a plant, we often want them to grow faster so we can see the fruits, however, plants dictate their speed. Just the same, let’s learn to dictate our speeds rather than trying to get ahead of ourselves or begin to compare ourselves with others. We are all unique and require different treatments. Hence, I encourage you to move at a speed that benefits your well-being and future.
Hence, I encourage you to think of all the life lessons a plant can teach you. Also, focus on how inspiring and flexible they are while considering all the obstacles they might have encountered while growing. After all, no matter the pace you are growing at, keep in mind you are still growing and thriving!
