What is jealousy?
Jealousy can come from feelings of low self-esteem or lack of confidence. Especially when someone is unhappy about themselves.
What is the difference between jealousy and envy?
According to Psychology Today, jealousy occurs when something we have is threatened by a third person, while envy occurs when we lack a desirable attribute enjoyed by another individual.
Types of jealousy:
- Romantic jealousy
- Power or work jealousy
- Friend jealousy
- Family jealousy
Overcoming jealousy
- Be aware of what triggers the jealousy
- Ask yourself what are you feeling when you feel jealous
- Think about the deeper meaning
- Calm down
- Don’t react
- Talk about it
