A Time to Reflect

The holidays are upon us, and another year is coming to a close.  Time seems to keep speeding by, and yet one can’t help to sometimes wonder….am I living the life I want to live?  It is so easy to get buried beneath the demands of days in and days out, that we often tend to forget to take care of our own needs.  Especially now with the holiday rush to shop, entertain, shop, attend parties, work, and maintain life responsibilities. It is tiring just thinking about it.  Where do you find yourself in the midst of these demands?  Are you pushing through, attempting to get everything done?  Are you making lists of tasks, only to forget to do them because you cannot find your list that reminds you to check your list?  Are you keeping your fingers crossed that Calgon really will take you away, and you will find yourself in the comforts of a warm bubbly bath?  It truly is an extra busy this time of year, in addition to the already busy months we have endured.  My question to you is:  How do you want 2018 to look for your life?  It is common knowledge that life is demanding, yet you are in the center of those demands.  What will you do to experience a better 2018?  Maybe there is a constant struggle you endure aside from the regular requirements of life.  Possibly you found yourself at a cross roads sometime during 2017, and now you are mustering up the energy to make a decision.  This list can go on and on, but one thing is for certain, we as individuals face our own uphill battles at the cost of our selves.  I encourage you to look back at the past year.  How do you want to treat yourself in 2018?  Olive Branch Counseling Associates, Inc. has a talented team of counselors that can help you navigate life, and strengthen your sense of self amidst life’s endless demands.  Please feel free to call us at (708) 633-8000 to schedule an appointment.  We look forward to walking with you during your wonderful 2018.
